The National Standardization Agency for Indonesia (BSN) together with 45 other central government institutionsaccepted for award from the Indonesian government for its achievement in obtaining unqualified predicate (WTP) for preparation of the Central Government Financial Statements (LKPP) for Year 2009.

The award was awarded by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. Boediono to the head of BSN, Dr. Bambang Setiadi at the opening ceremony on the National Working Meeting of Government Financial Accounting and Reporting at the Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, Tuesday (27/07/2010). Head of BSN in this event was accompanied by Principal Secretary of BSN, Yoes Usman Suhendar and Head of Planning, Finance and Administration of BSN, Johni B. Napitupulu.
In his speech, the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Boediono, said government financial reporting is a fundamental cornerstone of government administrative performance where government agency must have a commitment to continuously improve financial reporting as a prerequisite for a reliable and effective bureaucracy. And one of the characteristics of modern bureaucracy is a good and therein has the financial statements and accounting quality. Therefore, with the awards for Unqualified predicate this proved the Government's commitment to providing quality financial statements.
In agreement with Boediono, Chairman of the Audit Board (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia, Hadi Purnomo also said that on behalf of the BPK agenda he also welcomed this as an effort to encourage improvement of quality on financial reporting within both national and regional levels and the realization of the government's commitment in order to create clean governance, accountable, and transparent. This is also in line with government's determination to produce financial statements with the unqualified predicate (WTP) for year 2012 which was inaugurated last year.
As we know, quality of the Central Government Financial Statements (LKPP) in the last three years, has shown positive improvements. Marked by the increasing of central government agencies that have achieved for unqualified predicate (WTP). The unqualified predicate (WTP) has been increasing from 7 in 2006 to 16 in 2007, and then becoming 35 in 2008 and in 2009 becoming 45.
In addition, Hadi Purnomo also reminded that the granting of the unqualified predicate (WTP) for this year will not feast eyes on so fast but otherwise could be as motivation to continue improving the system, financial administration as well as management of goods which it is responsible and not as final goal but targeted toward the orderly administration of State Financial management which is more accountable and transparent.
