Main Secretary of National Standardization Body (BSN), Yoes Usman Suhendar reports BSN Program in supporting the Master plan of Acceleration and Expansion for Indonesia Economic Development (MP3EI) in the Forum of Minister Secretary - Main Secretary LPNK Research and Technology held in LAPAN Bandung on Friday morning (17/02/2012).

In this opportunity, the Main Secretary of BSN, Yoes Usman Suhendar conveys in encouraging MP3EI, BSN had identified Indonesian National Standard (SNI) in 6 Economic Corridors. Base on cartography that is done by BSN, for Economic Corridor of Sumatera is identified 379 SNIs, 75 Test Laboratories, 2 Product Certification Boards, 3 Inspection Boards, and also 1 Medical Laboratory. For Economic Corridor of Java, there are 1770 SNIs, 269 Test Laboratories, 21 Product Certification Boards, 18 Inspection Boards, and also 10 Medical Laboratories. Economic Corridor of Kalimantan, there are 588 SNIs, 55 Test Laboratories, 2 Product Certification Boards, and also 1 Inspection Board. Economic Corridor of Bali - Nusa Tenggara, there are 550 SNIs and 10 Test Laboratories. Then, Economic Corridor of Sulawesi, there are 758 SNIs, 32 Test Laboratories, and also 1 Product Certification Board. Meanwhile, Economic Corridor of Maluku Island, there are 780 SNIs and also 13 Test Laboratories.
Yoes Usman also says that one of program will be done by BSN in 2012 is to develop General Election Management Standard.

The Forum of Minister Secretary - Main Secretary LPNK Research and Technology is opened by the Chairman of LAPAN, Bambang Sutedja. The forum that is moderated by the main secretary of Research and Technology, Mulyanto, is attended by the Main Secretary of LAPAN, Sri Kaloka Prabotosari; the Main Secretary of BPPT, Jumain Appe; the Main Secretary of BIG, Budhy Andono Soenhadi; the Main Secretary of LIPI, Djusman Sajuti; the Main Secretary of BATAN, Taswanda Taryo; and also the Chief of Bapeten Planning Bureau, Marsodi.

In this opportunity, all main secretaries of LPNK share information of each activity in their board in order to synergize dissemination program of Science and Technology in the area that support MP3EI.
In MP3EI 2011-2023 is set out on 2045, Indonesia income per capita is predicted as the 7th or 8th largest in the world. With the USD 46,000, PBD reaches USD 16.6 Trillion. How to get there? First is the development of 6 economic corridors, through revitalization of development centers outside of Java. Second, Strengthen national connectivity through synergizes among development centers and equalization of basic infrastructure.  Third, the acceleration of human resource and National Science and Technology skills, by prompting to the innovation that driven economy.

Besides, in the Forum Minister Secretary - Main Secretary of Research and Technology is also exposed about the Utilization of Remote Sensing Technology to Support Development Sector by the Chairman of Aerospace Technology Utilization Centre of LAPAN, Arisdiyo.

Related to the large amount of publicities of LPNK Research and Technology activities, the Chief of Legal and Public Relation Bureau of Research and Technology, Anny Sulaswatty conveys the Mapping of Publicity Activities Plan of LPNK Research and Technology 2012 with its target is to increase Research, Science, Technology, and Innovation Existence in the society.

Meanwhile, associated to the agenda for Science and Technology Week in celebrating the 17th The National Technology Resurrection Day 2012 (Kateknas) in Bandung raises a theme "Innovation for State Independency". Assistant Deputy of Science and Technology of Government, the Deputy of Science and Technology Utilization, the Ministry of Research and Technology, Priatmono conveys this plan will use a tagline namely "Bandung as Science and Technology Seas".
